You-Me, For Now

You-Me, For Now

How is the personal political? Is the personal always political? What in our lives shaped who we are, and what literally just happened with no consequences?

In this short work, I explored how our personal experiences shape our politics and how our politics shape our personal experiences. We explored talking about what we remember, and remembering all of the parts of an experience, and how our experiences weave in and out of each other in our histories. This short work was made in the process of Make It 2017, an experimental process and performance opportunity that focuses on feedback, showing before completeness and collaboration between artists. As a part of Make It, this project was supported by San Diego State University's Dance Division.
